This grand old Canadian restaurant in the heart of downtown is famous for its art treasures including several original works by the Group of Seven that hang on its walls. This steakhouse serves one of the largest and best shrimp cocktails in town. Also recommended are the classic coquilles saint-jacques served in a clamshell and the American prime rib-eye steak. Baked Alaska is on the dessert menu. The wine list is as thick as an encyclopedia.
The service is curt and professional. Dinner per person including tips averages $105.
