Byzantium is in the heart of Toronto's gay neighborhood. Located near Church this people watching hot spot is landscaped into two main dining rooms - a long busy main bar and a quieter mod dining area. The menu also features many interesting choices including Cajun deep-fried artichoke hearts, blackened salmon and chicken dumplings in tamarind sauce. A favorite dessert is the lemon Bundt cake with blueberry drizzle. There are also many unusual half bottles and champagnes on the wine list.
The service is professional and friendly. Dinner is about $25 per person including tip.
