Vaulted glass ceilings, massive chandeliers and majestic neo-classical columns create a majestic yet cheery atmosphere. This cafe is greatly recognized for its Old World list of precious wines including a Chateau Mouton that is worth $14,000. The food is also critically lauded and includes such compositions as wild salmon poached in truffle stock and roast rubbed with dried tomatoes. A favorite order of regulars is the three-dessert sampler which consists of apple crumble, vanilla creme brulee, and chocolate mousse.
Service is prompt, courteous and highly professional. Dinner averages $100 per person.
