If you are looking for a great place to have a power lunch Far Niente fits the bill. Located in the heart of Toronto's financial district, this elegant and very busy restaurants boasts soaring cathedral ceiling and a relaxed Californian ambience. Far Niente which means "without a care" in Italian boasts Napa Valley style food and drinks. The menu has many offerings from the sea including scallops in mint sweet pea puree, curried crab cakes and grilled fillet of salmon.
The wine menu is also a star. A winner of Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence, it features an excellent selection of wines from California, Italy, and France. Service is very proper and correct. Average cost per person including tip is roughly $75.
