Home - Gamelle Restaurant
Although located in trendy Little Italy this narrow eatery is pure Gallic. The decor with its rough floorboards and patterned tablecloths reminds one of a farm in the French countryside. Specialties include a Nova Scotia Cod baked in grapefruit juice, escargot, frog's legs and a fricassee of wild mushrooms. The Quebec leg of lamb with rosemary is also excellent. A textured crème brulee is the dessert offering. The wine list favors vintages from both Ontario and France.
The service is engaging (especially the coffee service) and polite. Dinner including tip is about $80.
