This tiny dimly lit room in Mississauga specializes in a bewitching seven-course meal that is served over the course of three enjoyable hours. Chef Masaki Hashimoto is an exquisitely talented artist whose creations vary depending on the availability of ingredients. Examples of what you can expect are oysters in gelatin topped with gold leaf, ocean trout sashimi, seafood in a persimmon, quail and eggplant in miso, turnip with octopus in chicken broth and lobster in pastry with noodles. Green tea and vanilla ice cream are served with chocolate mouse in gelatin. There are six authentic Japanese brews and plenty of sake on hand.
The service is beyond compare. Dinner including tip is about $160 per person.
