This downtown French restaurant is located on the grounds of the Toronto Sculpture garden and is across the street from the towering St. James Cathedra. The intriguing menu includes duck comfit with baby spinach ($14.50), wild mushroom strudel ($8.95) and pan-seared Chilean sea bass ($38). Also recommended is the N.Y. strip loin ($36) that comes with string beans and asparagus. For dessert try the pastry puffs filled with vanilla ice cream( $8). There is an extensive wine list but the house favorite is a Shiraz from Africa.
Service is polite and prompt. Dinner per person averages $100 including tip.
