Home - Le Trou Normand Restaurant
This French restaurant is concealed down a narrow cobblestone path off of Yorkville Avenue. It is a quaint place with a crisp blue and white color scheme. A brief but traditional menu includes escargot, vichyssoise and duck
a l'orange. This approach could be cute in a retro way, if it weren't for the non-retro prices (so-so apps $6-$12, not-so-dazzling mains $23.95-$35.95). Highly recommended are the braised sweetbreads and the Seafood St. Jacques. The signature dessert is a homemade chocolate pate. The wine list is expansive and expensive.
The service can be slow. Dinner per person averages about $80 including tip.
