Home - Messis Restaurant
This elegant restaurant located near U of T and the shops and bakeries of Harbord Street boasts a décor reminiscent of the days of Toulouse Lautrec. Pinstriped banquettes and well-placed wood stand out against dark walls and the tables are covered with brown paper. Highly recommended is the grilled calamari in a soy-orange marinade and the oven roasted salmon fillet glazed in orange carrot sauce. Chocolate and blueberry strudels are served for desert. Phyllo pastry envelops blueberries and soft white chocolate for a strudel ($5.95). A long list of New World wines feature bottle prices under $50.
The service is a bit remote and slow. The average cost of dinner per person is $70.
