The creaky old dowager of Queen Street this majestic old bar boasts high wooden boosts, along marble bar with old-fashioned steel stools and a pressed tin ceiling. This reasonably price restaurant specializes in pastas, mussels and eggs benedict. Main courses include braised lamb shank ($17) served with lentils and kale, and the Pan's classic burger, fries and salad ($9.) The wine list consists of 28 familiar, unvintaged bottles ($24-$54) offers nine kinds by the glass ($6-$8).
The service is slow but personally attentive. Price per person is about $32 including tip.
